Policies

  • A Note From Us

    We’re a neighborhood salon built on trust, good energy, and respect for everyone’s time, yours and our stylists’. These policies help us keep the experience smooth, fair, and consistent for all guests.

    Deposits

    To reserve your appointment, we require a deposit at booking.

    • New clients: A 50% deposit of services booked is required for all online bookings. 

    • Appointments that are 3 hours or longer/multiple services: A $100 deposit is not refundable when cancelled in less than 48 hours. It may only be applied toward a rescheduled visit, not returned.

    Your deposit is always applied toward your total at checkout.

    Cancellations

    • Cancellations made within 24 hours → deposit is forfeited.

    • Rescheduling within 24 hours → deposit rolls over to next appointment.

    • Repeat late cancels or no-shows may incur up to 50% of the service.

    • Running over 15 minutes late to appointment when we need to reschedule counts as a NO show & will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of appointment.

    This ensures our stylists are supported and their time is honored.

    No-shows

    • Failure to show to your scheduled appointment results in forfeited deposit.

    Your One-Time Grace Appointment

    We understand life can throw us curveballs, which is why each guest receives one courtesy grace per calendar year where a late cancellation fee is waived. After your grace is used, our standard policy applies.

    Long Appointments/Multiple Appointments (3+ Hours)

    These appointments are difficult to fill on short notice. Because of the time and preparation involved, deposits for these services become non-refundable once we enter the 48-hour window.

    Agreement

    By booking your appointment online or through our team, you acknowledge and agree to these policies. This helps us maintain a fair, consistent, and reliable experience for all guests at The Local Parlor.

  • Services received cannot be refunded. We will gladly adjust any service you receive within 3 days of your service. If you are not satisfied with the work performed, we require that you return to the salon so that your hair can be visually inspected. At that time, we will make every effort to correct any problems to your satisfaction by rescheduling you with the stylist who performed the initial service, at no additional charge to you.

    Refunds for products will only be considered if presented within 7 days of purchase. Products can only be fully refunded if unused and in its original packaging. If a product is opened or used, you will receive a 50% refund. Refunds can only be processed with a receipt.

    No refunds are given for gift card orders. Gift card orders are not exchangeable.

  • To reserve your first visit with us, we require a 50% deposit. This helps protect your time and our stylists’ time so we can be fully prepared for you.

    Your deposit is applied to your service total at checkout. Need to adjust your appointment!

    You’re welcome to reschedule or cancel with 24+ hours’ notice for a full deposit transfer or refund.
